A truly exquisite syrup
- 500ml cold water
- 500g white caster sugar
- 250g chopped fresh magnolia flowers and/or buds
- Step 1 Put sugar into a pan along with the water, and bring to a simmer. Immediately remove.
- Step 2 Allow to cool to a temp that you can put your finger in without getting burned.
- Step 3 Then add the flowers and buds.
- Step 4 Steep for 24 hours, then strain in a sieve and pour into sterilized bottles.
